DescriptionCultural heritage is the joint memory of all human beings, and we need to safeguard it for the past and future. The challenges from nature and human factors deeply influence the sustainability of the sites, objects, and practice. Hence the course tackles the various perspectives of the digital heritage research to look into the sites, objects, and rituals. Through the literature review, digital methodology and case studies, the course brings together the theory and practice to raise awareness of coexistence - the joint memory of our past and the digital narrative that sustains the stories.
The course aims to offer cross-disciplinary approaches to push the boundary of digital narrative by utilizing cyber archiving, interactive documentary, and immersive experience.
Upon the completion of the course, participants will obtain comprehensive knowledge of how digital technology assists to disseminate and sustain the narrative of the various cultural heritage sites, rituals, and performances.
