Daniel Simões Lopes is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science & Engineering Department at Técnico Lisboa, and Head of Biomedical Research of the Graphics & Interaction Group at INESC-ID Lisboa. He holds a degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Lisbon and graduated in computational engineering under the framework of the UT Austin|Portugal Program. He has published more than 25 international peer-reviewed papers in computer graphics, human-computer interaction, and biomechanics. His main research interests are collision detection, motion processing, virtual reality, augmented reality, medical interfaces, and computational design.
