Su Hyun Nam is an interdisciplinary media artist and researcher working at the intersection of art, technology, science, and philosophy, exploring a nonlinguistic, experiential, and affective relationship with digital media. Her works, including an interactive video installation, 3D game art, and media performance, have been exhibited nationally, internationally, and locally, including community-based media art projects at Burchfield Penney Art Center and Hallwalls Contemporary Art Center in Buffalo, New York. Her theoretical papers have been also presented at international conferences – SIGGRAPH Asia, ISEA, and Videojogos. Su Hyun Nam earned an M.F.A in art and technology studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in media study at the State University of New York at Buffalo and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Transmedia and the director of the computer gaming program at Syracuse University.
