Kai Berger is a Visual Computing Researcher in Los Angeles, USA.
After his PhD in Computer Graphics in 2012, he went on to conduct post-doctoral studies at the University of Oxford, INRIA, France and the Jet Propulsion Lab in Los Angeles.
His more than 30 papers revolve around computer vision aspects for visualization and rendering. He got first exposed to polarization research for graphics and vision during his PhD at the TU Braunschweig. Later on, during his postdoctoral work at the JPL, he devised a new method for depth from stereo using polarization cameras.
