Yanru Zhu is a junior student double major in Interactive Media Arts and Business&Finance in NYU Shanghai. As an Erhu player who learned this traditional Chinese instrument since the kindergarten age, he sees the decline of popularity in traditional Chinese music culture among his generation, therefore, he decides to use digital methods to explore ways that can help the general public to understand the culture better. As for now, he has experimented with it through music pieces adaptations, AR experience, 3D scanning, and modeling, etc.
